a. This website is administered by CI&T China, Inc. ("CI&T" or “we”). CI&T’s main goal for our users is to feel safe and secure when visiting our website or using our services, and we are committed to maintaining your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to data collected by CI&T through its website www.ciandt.com or by other means during the course of its business. We encourage you to review this CI&T Privacy Policy very carefully and review all of its contents.

Why CI&T collects personal information

a. CI&T collects personal information in order to conduct our business, to market our services, and to meet our legal obligations. Sometimes, our clients may also require us to collect information on their behalf in connection with products or services they provide to you. We may also collect data for informational purposes to best cater our services to you and enhance your experience using our products or services.

b. You may refuse to provide us with some or all of your personal information; however, this may limit the ways in which we can interact with you, including providing you with our services.
Types of information we collect

a. CI&T usually collect the following kinds of personal information:

i. Name, address, occupation, and contact information

ii. Interests in our services or events, or that of our clients

iii. Information about people’s relationships and business activities with us or our clients

iv. Your opinion or comments

v. Non-identifiable personal information pertaining to CI&T’s business (i.e. age, location)

How information is collected

a. CI&T gathers information in two ways:

i. Name, address, occupation, and contact information Information you give us - When you provide information to us by way of paper or online forms or questionnaires filled out by you, in-person interactions with CI&T staff or agents, interviews, business cards or telephone conversations.  We also collect information directly when you voluntarily provide it to us. For example, we may provide the opportunity to sign up for a periodic email newsletter by entering your email address. It is completely up to you whether or not you want to provide it. Additionally, we collect personal information when you apply online for a job opening at CI&T.

ii. Information we get from your use of our services - This could be through our website's technology or through other third parties who collect information on our behalf or have the right to share your information with us. This information includes:

2. We may collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number). CI&T may associate your device identifiers or phone number with your account on any CI&T software (i.e Smart Canvas).

4. When you use our services or view content provided by CI&T, we may automatically collect and store certain information in internet access logs. This may include:

a. details of how you used our service, such as your search queries.

b. Internet protocol address.

c. device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL.

d. Cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your CI&T Account. (See section 5)

f. Unique application numbers

i. Certain services include a unique application number. This number and information about your installation (for example, the operating system type and application version number) may be sent to CI&T when you install or uninstall that service or when that service periodically contacts our servers, such as for automatic updates.

g. Local storage

i. We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.

h. We use various technologies to collect and store information when you visit a CI&T service, and this may include sending one or more cookies.

Cookies

a. A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. When you visit the website again, the cookie allows that site to recognize your browser. Cookies may store user preferences and other information. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some website features or services may not function properly without cookies. Analytics - Display Advertising

a. CI&T and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on past visits to our website. More specifically, our website has implemented and uses display advertising, and we utilize Google Analytics to implement a specific feature called remarketing. Remarketing is a feature of Google’s AdWords that allows us to optimize the delivery of ad content specifically targeted to a visitor’s interests based upon previous visits to our site. Web beacons

a. Our Web pages contain electronic images known as Web beacons (sometimes called single pixel gifs) and are used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyze how our site is used and may be used in some of our emails to let us know which emails and links have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of our customer communications and marketing campaigns.

How CI&T uses this information

a. We hold, use and may disclose your personal information for the purposes as set out in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection. We generally use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:

iii. to improve CI&T or its client’s services

Sharing information with 3rd parties including those overseas

Information that we collect may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which CI&T, its respective partners, affiliates or contractors, have offices in order to enable CI&T to use the information as set out in this Privacy Policy. If you are in the European Union, Canada or Australia, information which you provide may be transferred to countries (including the United States) which do not have data protection laws equivalent to those in force in the European Union, Canada or Australia. By submitting your information to CI&T website or any of our products or services, you expressly agree to such transfer in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  We will respect and protect your privacy as set out in this Privacy Policy. We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy policy. And won’t sell individual information. You agree CI&T may share your personal information with non-CI&T parties with your consent (express, constructive of implied), or as required by law such as to comply with subpoena, bankruptcy proceedings, or similar legal process when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect CI&T, its customers, the public, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. You agree that CI&T may share your personal information with organizations or persons that help us fulfill our obligations or provide our services to you. i. Frames - Some of our pages utilize framing techniques to serve content to/from our partners while preserving the look and feel of our website. Please be aware that you are providing your personal information to these third parties and not to CI&T.

How does CI&T protect sensitive personal information?

a. Other than the information you provide when you apply for an employment position at CI&T, we do not generally seek to collect sensitive personal information through this site); therefore, we advise you not to provide any unsolicited sensitive personal information. By providing us with unsolicited sensitive personal information, you consent to our use of the information for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, subject to applicable law. Whenever possible CI&T applies HTTPS or other technical measure to secure the personal information transmitted over its website. Access, update and deletion of personal information

You are entitled to know whether we hold information about you and, if we do, the type of information, the purposes for which we hold it, the possible recipients or types of recipients, and to have access to that information and require it to be corrected if it is inaccurate. Upon written request and within a reasonable time frame we will correct, delete and/or block personal information from further processing. We will retain your information as needed to provide you services and will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and/or enforce our agreements.

What is CI&T practice regarding data security?

a. We take appropriate steps to maintain the security and integrity of your information/data, including the use of encryption, password, physical security (e.g., lock and access control) and other security measures. As for information provided or collected online, you should understand that the open nature of the Internet is such that information/data may flow over networks without security measures and may be accessed and used by people other than those for whom the information/data is intended. We recommend that you always log out after each session and close the browser when done, especially when accessing the service from public terminals.

a. Our collection and use of cookies will be managed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Miscellaneous Matters

a. Third party websites

i. You may find links to third party websites on our website. These sites are owned and operated independently of us and may collect information about you. This Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of those third-party websites. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies whatsoever as we have no control over them.

b.Blogs

i. Our website offers publicly accessible blogs. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected and used by others who read them. Our blog is managed by a third party application (Hubspot) that may require you to register to post a comment. We do have limited access and control of the information posted to the blog. However, you may need to contact or login into the third party application if you want the personal information that was posted to the comments section removed. c. Testimonials

i. We display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our site in addition to other endorsements. With your consent we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at dataprivacy@ciandt.com.

d. Social Media Widgets

i. Our website includes social media features, such as the Facebook button and Widgets, such as the Twitter button that run on our site. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our website. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

e. Single Sign-On

i. You can log in to our site using sign-in services such as Facebook Connect, Google Apps Authentication, or an Open ID provider. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with us such as your name and email address to pre-populate our sign up form.  Services like Facebook Connect and Google Apps give you the option to post information about your activities on this Web site to your profile page to share with others within your network.
